Saoirse Ronan is opening up about how her new movie, Little Women, is more relevant now than ever.

During her interview on This Morning, the 25-year-old actress talked about revolutionary author Louisa May Alcott really was in her time as she fought to release her books under her own name, which is something that is still going on today, as she points out, with Taylor Swift.

“There’s such a thing right now, Taylor Swift just released an album and it’s the first album she’s ever owned…We really wanted to use this opportunity to honor this and fight for her work,” Saoirse shares.

Timothee Chalamet keeps it cool and casual while joining his cast mates at the London photo call of their anticipated film Little Women held at The Corinthia Hotel on Monday morning (December 16) in London, England.

Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh and director Greta Gerwig joined the 23-year-old actor, who plays Laurie in the film, on the roof of the hotel for their special photo call.

Also in attendance was other co-star James Norton and producer of the film Amy Pascal.

Little Women releases in UK cinemas on 26th December.

In Florence‘s cover with Glamour UK, she opened up about Timothee being part of “the gang” with them.

“Timmy was so involved with all the girls,” she shared. “He was just as desperate to be a part of our gang as we were. He was instantly in with the jokes and the wrestling. Everything about that dynamic didn’t feel like we were welcoming a boy – it was really wonderful.”

Saoirse Ronan sits down for a chat with Seth Meyers during her appearance on Late Night in New York City on Tuesday (December 11).

The 25-year-old actress chatted about working alongside Meryl Streep for Little Women, which opens on Christmas Day, and her plans for the holidays.

“I’m going back to Ireland for a bit. I’m preparing myself for the cold. I’m just going to sit in my pyjamas all day. It doesn’t change. I’m very boring,” she joked.

Saoirse added that she’s actually had her holiday shopping done for months!

“I’m organized because I’ve had more time this year. I basically haven’t worked in six months. I’ve had a lot of time on my hands, so I went online early and got a lot of presents a few months in advance,” Saoirse shared. “In (shops), there is too many people, it’s loud, it’s too bright, my back hurts. The (computer) is the modern way.”

The 25-year-old actress was joined by her on-screen sisters, Eliza Scanlen and Florence Pugh, as they promote their new film, Little Women, in the city.

Saoirse was also seen on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, on Monday night (December 9), chatting about the film.

“She’s a really, really brilliant filmmaker who, you know, we wouldn’t be here without her,” Saoirse shared about their director, Greta Gerwig, on Today.

She adds, “We’ve talked about how we’re all sort of inextricably linked. Our performances relied so much on one another, but Greta is the one that brought us all together and she’s the mastermind behind the whole thing.”

The 25-year-old actress and her co-stars – Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern and director Greta Gerwig – all got together to make an appearance on SiriusXM’s Town Hall in support of their film Little Women hosted by SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle on Monday (December 9) in New York City.

Saoirse Ronan and the ladies all sat down for an interview moments after it was announced that she had just scored a Best Actress – Drama nomination for her role in the film at the 2020 Golden Globes.

While Saoirse scored a nomination for her performance, Greta was snubbed in her category for Best Director.
