It’s official – Gossip Girl will be back for a second season!!
HBO Max JUST revealed the super exciting news on Thursday (September 9).
The GG revival takes us back to the Upper East Side, where we find a new generation of New York private school teens who are introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark. Gossip Girl explores just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.
Gossip Girl stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith with Todd Almond, Adam Chanler-Berat, Johnathan Fernandez and Jason Gotay.
The first half of season broke the HBO Max record for the biggest launch of a new original series on the streaming service!
The second half of season one will return this November.

Camila Mendes goes pink for the Collina Strada fashion show during New York Fashion Week at Brooklyn Grange on Tuesday (September 7) in New York City.
The 27-year-old Riverdale star sat front row with one of her best friends Rachel Matthews at the presentation, which took place the day before the official start of NYFW.
Also spotted at fashion week was fellow CW star Elizabeth Gillies, who hit up the PatBO show during NYFW: The Shows at Le Pavillon on Wednesday (September 8).
Gossip Girl star Savannah Smith and Beanie Feldstein stepped out for the Kate Spade New York Popup Installation VIP Opening Party for NYFW: The Shows held at Gansevoort Plaza.
For those that may not know, New York Fashion Week is taking place from TODAY (September 8) until Sunday (September 12), and will be followed by the 2021 MET Gala this year. The annual gala was postponed to Monday (September 13).

Savannah Smith is officially a red head!
The 20-year-old Gossip Girl starlet showed off her brand new hair color during the Soapbox Giving Tour stop in New York City on Thursday (July 15).
Savannah helped to assembled hygiene kits for local charities alongside Soapbox founder David Simnick.
The tour, and a giant 21ft bottle of Soapbox handsoap, will travel to 16 cities, remind people to continue to wash their hands and garner a Guinness Book World Record for most hygiene products donated in a week.
In NYC, 9,600 bars of soap were donated to Dominican Women’s Development Center and 200 hygiene kits were donated to students in temporary housing within NYC Dept. of Education and Hearts of Gold.
Just a few weeks ago, Savannah stepped out for the premiere of Gossip Girl with her co-stars.
She was recently seen out with Emily Alyn Lind at the Gucci party.
Gossip Girl premiered on HBO Max last week and the series premiere was a BIG hit!
The new revival series – starring Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Smith – had the biggest launch on the streaming service since it’s launch in May 2020.
