Simone B. has won two gold medals in gymnastics – one for the individual all-around and one for the team competition.

The 23-year-old swimmer finished second, winning the silver medal in the Women’s 400m Individual Medley at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium.
“I knew Katinka [Hosszu from Hungary] was very far ahead, and I could see that when I turned for freestyle, I was ahead of the rest of the field, so I didn’t really worry about her,” Maya shared afterwards. “I haven’t seen my splits yet, but it doesn’t really matter because I got a silver medal, and I’m so thrilled with that!”
Later, Simone Manuel and her team — Abbey Weitzeil, Dana Vollmer and Katie Ledecky — also picked up the silver medal for the Women’s 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay.
