Threads has been out for two weeks now and there were some new features that have been added in the past few days!
The new social media site is a text-based spinoff of Instagram, hailing from parent company Meta.
In it’s first week, they gained 100 million users who signed up, and it has only risen since then, with many celebrities also taking full advantage of the new app.
While the launch saw the basics of the app, they did vow that more features were in the works and on the way to enhance the user experience.
A few of those features have been integrated with a new update this week.

It’s officially been one full week of the latest social media platform Threads!
The app, of course, comes from Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, and is directly linked to your Instagram account.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that 100 million users had already signed up and started using Threads – Wow!
The latest app is similar to Twitter, where you can share text updates, join conversations, share photos and videos up to five minutes in length.

A new 6-second video app has arrived, from the creators of Vine.
The creators of the original app just unveiled their new one, called Byte.
“dear friends, today we’re bringing back 6-second looping videos and a new community for people who love them,” the app’s Twitter account shared this afternoon. “it’s called byte and it’s both familiar and new. we hope it’ll resonate with people who feel something’s been missing.”
The app is also looking for feedback on the new venture, and launched a community forum to gather ideas and suggestions from users to improve Byte.
Vine, which launched the careers of Cameron Dallas, Lele Pons, Nash Grier and more, shut down in 2017.

Snapchat just announced three new updates to their popular app, and they will totally change your Snap game!
The company is actually breaking a long-standing rule they’ve had in place for just about forever — the no links rule.
The three new features — Paperclip, Backdrops and Voice Filters — are already rolled out, so you can start using them right away!

Facebook is hopping on the GIF train!
The social network will finally start allowing users to comment on posts using their favorite GIFs.
“Everyone loves a good GIF, and we know that people want to be able to use them in comments,” Facebook told TechCrunch. “So we’re about to start testing the ability to add GIFs to comments, and we’ll share more when we can, but for now we repeat that this is just a test.”
So while it’s not happening yet, it’s happening. Get excited!
Selena Gomez has returned to Instagram after a heartbreakingly long hiatus (25 weeks!), and she’s had a lot of big things happening in her life lately, but still no tweets.
