'Vampire Diaries' Alum Sean Faris Lands Role on 'Supernatural' Spin-Off

The upcoming CW show Supernatural: Tribes is rounding out its cast nicely!

According to Deadline, Sean Faris has signed on for the spin-off as Julian Durant, the “savagely handsome werewolf son of a wealthy family of lycanthropes who has no love for the shapeshifting Hayden family.”

Supernatural: Tribes is being described as a sweeping drama about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly-to-humans ‘run’ the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly-minted Hunter who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.

It was recently announced that Nathaniel Buzolic and Lucien Laviscount had also been cast.

The trio will make their debut in the upcoming 20th episode of Supernatural on April 29, which will serve as a backdoor pilot for the show.

It looks like Nathaniel Buzolic is staying on The CW!

According to TVLine.com, the 30-year-old Vampire Diaries favorite is headed to the upcoming Supernatural spin-off as a series regular.

Supernatural: Tribes is being described as a “sweeping drama about the various mafia-esque monster families that unknowingly-to-humans ‘run’ the underbelly of Chicago and who are being tracked by a newly-minted Hunter who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.”

Nate will play David Hayden, a shapeshifter from one of the ruling monster families who’s been living as a human, having given up the monster life years ago.

Meanwhile, Lucien Laviscount has also been cast, and is set to portray Ennis Roth, a resolute police academy trainee whose fianc�e is killed in the crossfire of the monster war. The tragedy leads him to the truth about what lurks in the shadows and becomes a monster-hunter himself.

The guys will make their debut in the upcoming 20th episode of Supernatural on April 29, which will serve as a backdoor pilot for the show.
