Maddie & Tae pose with their platinum records for “Girl In A Country Song” during their album launch party held at The Cordelle on Tuesday night (August 18) in Nashville, Tenn.
The girls — Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye — threw the ultimate bash were guests were actually greeted at the door by David Spielberg, the infamous male lead character from their “Girl In A Country Song” vid and were treated to the girls’ favorite Southern foods as well as digital copies of their new album, Start Here.
“We are so excited!” Tae shared. “We have been writing this album since we were fifteen years old so you will hear our stories and about our lives from the past five years.”
Maddie added, “We purposefully made a record that covered so many topics and sounded different so we didn’t pigeonholed ourselves.”
During the party, Maddie and Tae even performed with surprise guest, and their idol, Lee Ann Womack, singing her hit “A Little Past Little Rock.”
“I just want to say one thing about these girls, they came on my radar about a year ago when I started digging a little deeper with them. The thing I love most about these girls right here is that at a time when so much focus is on other things, these girls seem to focus on the music and that is so important and very special,” Lee Ann shared.
FYI: Maddie wore a Free People dress, Matisse boots, and Nashelle rings. Tae wore a Free People dress, Steve Madden shoes, with Nashelle rings.
“So we did the Celebrity Boots and Hearts Bass Classic fishing tournament today! The only girls to participate got 2nd place overall and 1st PLACE for biggest bass!” the country duo announced on Instagram.
Maddie and Tae added, “I [Maddie] caught 3 and Tae caught 1 and it was the BIGGEST bass of the whole tournament! Shut up & Fish boys ;) #smallmouthbass #canada. Tae‘s fish was 5.7 lbs!!!!! I caught 3 and the one I’m holding was 4.5 :)”
Later in the day, Maddie and Tae hit the stage to play at the 2015 Boots and Hearts Music Festival held at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Oro Medonte, Canada on Friday (August 7).
Maddie & Tae know exactly who they would want to play them in the movies.
The country duo sat down with Fandango and dished on the two actresses that would be up on the big screen in their places — Amber Heard (Tae) and Blake Lively (Maddie)!
Maddie and Tae added about their fave movie, The Strangers.
“It is something my Dad and I would bond over. Any time a scary movie comes out, he’s my go-to date buddy,” Tae shared.

As a trusted name in family entertainment, Radio Disney is delighted to introduce a new music outlet dedicated to country music and expand upon the engaging content we successfully deliver through Radio Disney’s multi-platform network,” Phil Guerini, Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Radio Disney, shared about launching the new station.
The channel will official launch with the 2015 Country Music Association Awards in November.
“I am so excited about Radio Disney launching a country channel,” Kelsea shared. “It’s so cool to get a new generation and a new group of ears on my music�and all of the awesome music coming out of Nashville. I think it will be great for the format, it’s been great for me, and I’m hopeful to do more with them in the future.”
Later on, Maddie and Tae hit the LP Field for their concert at the festival.
“Huge shoutout to @gibsonguitar for letting me play one of your left handed beauties on the #CMTawards ???????????? ya’ll are the best!!” Tae posted up on Instagram after the show.
