Another fan-favorite CW series has just been canceled!
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Keto Shimizu shared the sad news that the series has not been renewed for an eighth season.
The show would have been the second longest-running DC show on the network, tying with Arrow, and following right behind The Flash, which will return for a ninth season. This means it was the third longest running, with it’s seven seasons.
The seventh season of the CW series kicks off on it’s new night and time, Wednesdays at 8pm ET/PT.
It’s only been just over a month since the last season ended, as The CW gets back on track to it’s normal schedule after the pandemic delays last year.
However, Shayan Sobhian (Behrad Tarazi) and Adam Tsekhman (Gary Green) were promoted to series regulars, and Lisseth Chavez joined the cast as Esperanza “Spooner” Cruz!
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which will premiere on Sunday, May 2nd, also stars Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Nick Zano as Dr. Nate Heyood/Steel, Tala Ashe as Zari Tarazi, Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe, Matt Ryan as John Constantine and Olivia Swann as Astra Logue.

The 34-year-old actress’ character will not be returning to the series, showrunner Phil Klemmer confirmed to TVLine.
Luckily for fans, even though Zari’s time on the show is over, Tala’s isn’t.
“Tala will be returning to the show but Zari, the character we know and love, will not be,” Klemmer explained. “Nate is welcome to go look for her next season, but he will not be pleased by what he finds.”
Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a fifth season, which is set to premiere in early 2020.
