The end of an era is coming – Blake Shelton will not return for The Voice.
The country music star and longtime coach of the NBC singing competition has revealed that the next season (23) will be his final one.
Blake is the only the coach who has been on the show every season since the series first premiered in 2011. He’s also won the most times, with a total so far of eight.

Jamal Corrie and Levi Watkins were put together for The Voice battle rounds!
Going into the battle rounds, the guys from Team Blake were excited to be paired with each other.
Jamal and Levi actually sang together during the audition process. When it was announced who they were being paired with, Jamal said, “I knew it,” after it was announced that they would be battling against each other.
The two sang “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic for their battle round.
After their performance, Blake Shelton picked Levi to continue in the competition.
Joei Fulco and Todd Michael Hall were the first duo to battle it out on The Voice battle rounds!
The two from Team Blake met with Bebe Rexha and got a few pointers for their performance.
Joei and Todd sang a duet of Tina Turner‘s “The Best”.
After their battle, the coaches praised the duo, and Blake Shelton had to make a choice on who to advance.
The winner of this battle turned out to be Joei, BUT Blake and Kelly Clarkson both hit their buttons to keep Todd in the competition.
Though Kelly tried to steal Todd, Blake hit his buzzer first so he got to save him from going home.
Blake Shelton has a very diverse on The Voice!
The most decorated coach on the series, built up a great team of very talented artists.
Team Blake ranges from the youngest artist at 14, to the oldest artist this season at age 50.
Blake is gunning for his seventh win, to reclaim his title. He hasn’t won since season 13.
Bebe Rexha will be joining Team Blake this season as their celebrity mentor during the battle rounds.
The Voice airs weekly on Monday nights at 8/7c on NBC.

Kailey Abel brought her growl to her The Voice blind audition!
The 19-year-old music therapist performed a bit of a rocker version of Alphaville‘s “Forever Young”.
While complimenting her after being the only chair turn, Blake Shelton said he would bet his farm that she would win this season.
“A fellow Okie to fill up #teamblake… there’s nothing better than that! Welcome Kailey! #voiceblinds,” Blake tweeted after her audition aired.

Blake Shelton really wanted to have Joei Fulco on his The Voice team!
The 22-year performed a classic Cher song for her audition and Blake used his one block to prevent Nick Jonas from competing for her to be on his team.
“I’m so excited to CHER this experience with you @blakeshelton #TeamBlake @NBCTheVoice I’M SO EXCITED!!!!” Joei tweeted after her choice was revealed.
“Joei… I’m glad you CHER’D your talent with us tonight! And I’m even more glad I was able to save you from @nickjonas… not all heroes wear capes… #voiceblinds,” Blake shared on Twitter.

Levi Watkins wowed the judges while playing guitar and singing “Hey, Soul Sister” on The Voice!
The 14-year-old from Birmingham, Ala., won over Blake Shelton with his cover of the Train song.

Levi not only plays guitar and sings, but he can also play the mandolin and the drums.
