Dylan O’Brien is dishing on the possibility of a Teen Wolf reunion series or movie, or something!
The 29-year-old actor was promoting his new movie Love and Monsters when he was asked about the beloved, fan favorite series.
“I don’t know… That was my first character ever, and Stiles to me, is just my heart and soul,” Dylan told Marc Malkin on Variety’s The Big Ticket Podcast. “Obviously I would jump at the chance to do any kind of thing. There’s got to be some kind… I mean, we’ll come back together for something at some point.”
Where does Dylan think Stiles would be now?
“I don’t know. You know, I think I love the idea… I think I’ve said this before, so it’s so boring, but I would love the idea that he’s like Sherriff. That he’s taken over as Sherriff, but drives his Jeep instead of a squad car. I just love that. That feels right.”
The Teen Wolf cast did have a virtual reunion earlier this year. Relive it here!
The virtual reunion took place nine years after the show first premiered on MTV, which was June 5, 2011, and ran for six seasons.
During the reunion, the cast dished on items that they took from set.
“I have the Jeep,” Dylan said, adding he also took some of Stiles’ shirts. “It was important for me to take a lot of things. Everyone who knows me closely knows that my heart lies and dies with Teen Wolf. There was no way I was not taking that Jeep.”
“We are postponing the #TeenWolfReunion to stand with the #BlackLivesMatter movement and encourage our fans to take this time to support the Black Community: – Want to take action? Text demands to 55156 – Want to help protestors? Donate to a bail fund: http://nationalbailout.org,” the show’s Twitter account shared.
They also shared a document with more anti-racism resources. Check it out right here!
Dylan O’Brien has been actively posting in support of Black Lives Matter and social justice on his Twitter page. On Wednesday, he praised the viral video of Keke Palmer and said, “How about we get @KekePalmer trending instead? This is incredible Red heart #KekePalmer #BLM”
The reunion will be hosted by MTV News‘ Josh Horowitz, and will benefit First Responders First Charity. You can watch it on the official MTV YouTube channel, as well as the Teen Wolf official social accounts.
MTV Reunions will be a recurring series that allows fans of TV shows seeing their favorite stars reuniting to raise money for charity.
Tyler took to his Twitter to suggest the show be brought back in time for the crew’s high school reunion.
“Hey @MTV i think it’s time to bring teen wolf back for new episodes. First Jersey shore family vacation. Now teen wolf high school reunion. I’m ready. And 28 so it’s an appropriate age,” Tyler wrote.
Teen Wolf went off the air back in 2017 and based on fan’s reaction to Tyler‘s tweet, they really want new episodes!
What do you say, MTV??
Hey @MTV i think it’s time to bring teen wolf back for new episodes. First Jersey shore family vacation. Now teen wolf high school reunion. I’m ready. And 28 so it’s an appropriate age
On being half-Mexican and his best memories of Mexico: “I spent all my summers there until I was 12 and I spent the majority of my first five years of my life there. So I have lots of memories, mainly with my cousins because they live there. I just remember living in my grandpa’s house and we would just throw around avocados in the backyard with our feet, like soccer, but not really because we didn’t know what soccer was at the time… because we were 5-years-old. (laughs) But I’m probably like the only millennial who doesn’t like avocados. (laughs)”
On his favoriteTeen Wolfscene to film: “I had so many! Particularly toward the end of Teen Wolf because we did this giant action scene, I got to have this James Bond moment where I was just this dorky little white boy walking down the hallway. I just felt like such a badass for a second.”
On what he does to get out of dark places: “(breathes in deeply) The best thing you can do is just have someone to talk to. You’re always surrounded by people that love you even though you don’t think that you are, even when you feel very alone. There’s people that you can talk to and there’s always someone you can get your emotions out with. That’s just important to remember–you’re never alone. There’s always someone there. And just think talking, exercising, listening to music, finding hobbies that you’re passionate about are all super important to get through a dark phase in your life. I always think about all those things and really take it to heart and just… find someone to talk to. Too often, we have emotions and problems that we just bottle up and put a lid on it and I don’t think that’s very healthy. You gotta let it out! Everyone has problems, you’re never alone. That’s my motto.”
