Sarah Hyland had some choice words to say about Wednesday night’s (July 25) episode of The Four, specifically what DJ Khaled said.

The Modern Family actress, who has been on Broadway, was understandably upset when the coach “basically put down Broadway performers”

“DJ Khaled, even though he said it wasn’t putting down Broadway, he was basically putting down Broadway performers,” she said in an Instagram Stories rant. “There are some Broadway performers, actually, most Broadway performers sing better live than some very, very, very well known recording artists. Just sayin’. Not talking about anyone specifically, just saying the technical training you have to do, you have to have to be on Broadway is insane! And he made it seem, he put Broadway and Universal Studios in the same category.”

“It took me 11 years to finally make it and be in a Broadway show. 11 years. I understand what he’s saying to a certain degree, I just don’t like the way he put it,” Sarah added. “I’m super pissed off, super pissed off about that, super pissed about James Graham. I can’t. Just one last thing, in no way shape, form, or fashion do I think Leah-Jenea should not be in one of those chairs because that girl is magnificent! magnificent. 17? how?”

You’ve probably been seeing commericals and ads left and right about Fox’s new reality competition, The Four: Battle for Stardom.

So, what exactly is it about?

The show will start with four finalists, and each week, they will be competing against newcomers to keep their seat and get closer to stardom.

These four top-notch artists — Ash Minor, Alexis Boyd, Elanase Lanson and Blair Perkins — who span over all music genres, will fight each week to defend their coveted seats on the show, as determined newcomers challenge them and try to knock them out of the competition.

The singer who is the last “sitting” at the end of the competition will earn the ultimate prize: the panel of industry experts becomes key players on the winner’s team.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Meghan Trainor, DJ Khaled, and record label exec Charlie Walk make up the “industry expert” judges.

The Four will air six episodes starting TONIGHT, January 4th @ 8PM ET/PT on Fox.

Meghan Trainor has been selected as one of the four judges on Fox’s upcoming reality series The Four: Battle for Stardom!

The “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” singer will lend her musical expertise alongside fellow judges Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, and music executive Charlie Walk.

“This show is going to disrupt the world of competition television and will revolutionize the format,” Diddy said in a statement. “We plan on being the best talent show out there, taking it to that next level and making history again. This series is about pure competition, fighting for your survival. Do you want to win? Do you want to be great? We’re giving fans a genuine look at what it takes to make it to the top and stay there � surrounding these up-and-coming artists with the best, turning them into the next generation of stars.”

“I know firsthand what it’s like to be thrown into the music industry head first, as an artist and a songwriter,” Meghan added. “I also know what it takes to hang on for the ride. I’m so humbled to help discover new talent with this amazing panel of experts.”

Meghan will tour with the winner and help launch the singer’s career, TMZ reports. Republic Records, through Universal Music Group, will also release music from the show’s participants and winner.
