Wil & Eretria Have An Unbreakable Bond on 'Shannara Chronicles', Ivana Baquero Says

We’re only a week away from The Shannara Chronicles season two premiere and Ivana Baquero is giving us just a little taste of what we’re going to see.

There are new characters, a new big bad in The Crimson, and there’s life beyond Arborlon in The Four Lands — but one thing will never change and that’s Eretria and Wil’s bond.

“Whether romantically or not, Wil and Eretria will always be destined to have a future together,” Ivana shared in a recent interview.

She adds, “They’ve been through so much together that inevitably they share a unique and unbreakable bond. Amidst pains and scars left behind from Season 1, Wil and Eretria will find a way to each other in Season 2.”

The Shannara Chronicles returns on Wednesday, October 11th @ 10PM ET/PT on Spike.

Malese Jow is getting pumped about the debut of The Shannara Chronicles season two.

The actress will be starring in the new season as Mareth, who she says brings some edge to the show.

“She’s very mysterious when we first met her,” Malese adds. “She has an innate magic.”

Mareth actually saves Wil from an attack in the show, is “both volatile and unpredictable – and possesses magical abilities. Sharp, brash and independent to a fault, Mareth gets what she wants on her own terms (by any means necessary).”

“We didn’t want to go back to Arborlon, we wanted to see something different,” Miles Mallar shared. “So we built the whole Palace of Leah. Very gold, very blingy and very different from the Elves.”

Al Gough adds, “We’ll also see Storlock, which is kind of a gnome village and they are the best healers in the Four Lands.”

Other places on the map we’ll see this season include Graymark, Skull Mountain, and more.

The Shannara Chronicles' Ivana Baquero Teases New Cast Joining Season 2

The Shannara Chronicles got four new main characters for the upcoming season, and star Ivana Baquero says you’ll instantly love them all.

“It’s very difficult to tell which one is going to be like a fan favorite,” Ivana shared about the new cast, citing that they can’t share a ton on social media right now.

She adds, “We’ve got [Gentry White's character] Garet Jax who’s a weapons master. So he’s got a lot of action and I think that’s a lot of fun. People are going to enjoy that.”

Another is Lyria, a love interest for Ivana‘s character Eretria.

“[She's] played by Vanessa Morgan. So I think that’s going to be interesting. People have been really vouching for that on social media. I think every new character is in the story for a reason. I’m hoping people are really going to vouch for them and enjoy it.”
