In a playful response to social star and author Shane Dawson‘s new video in support of his own book, “It Get’s Worse”, Tyler rephrased Taylor‘s response. Here’s what he wrote:
“Where is the video of Shane telling me he was going to say he gets more views than me in his short film? It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to having less views than Shane Dawson in front of the entire world. Of course, I wanted to like ‘It Gets Worse’. I want to believe Shen when he told me but I would love the video. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the video for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive of Shane on the phone call you cannot ‘approve’ a video you haven’t seen. Being falsely painted as a has-been when I was never give the full story or played any party of the video is character assassination. I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2007.”
Tyler documented the whole trip for his YouTube channel, including his experience on the 3D ride which follows a 1930s expedition through Skull Island.

Tyler continued, “I’m sad, I’m angry, I’m scared, and I’m grieving the LGBTQ+ people that were murdered. I’m realizing that I need to take a moment today to grieve.”
He added, “Of course, I want to meet you and thank you for supporting me, but due to the circumstances, I just won’t be able to give you the experience you deserve.”

Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl might not have won The Amazing Race – but they did get some amazing memories from it.
The 27-year-old social influencer took to Instagram today, reflecting on his and Korey‘s time on the show where they placed third.
“21 days. 27,000 miles. Mexico, Colombia, Switzerland, France, Armenia, Georgia, U.A.E., Indonesia, China, and a finale in Los Angeles… what a dream come true. thank you to all of our friends & family for making this season of The Amazing Race so fun to be a part of,” he wrote. “Hearing from you every week made it that much more exciting. so proud to have finished 5 of the 12 episodes in first place (most first places of the season!), and to finish in third place overall.”
Tyler continued, “I wouldn’t change a thing about how @koreykuhl & I raced – every decision we made got us as far as it did, and not many are lucky enough to make it on the show, let alone run the entire race to the final finish mat. and we had FUN! racing around the world giggling with my best friend is something I’ll never take for granted. lifelong memories with wigs, puns, and way too many laughs.”
“Going into the finale, the final three teams were so excited for all six remaining racers – it was anyone’s game & we were ALL rooting each other on. I don’t think you see that with many seasons, but the adoration & respect is real. congratulations to our friends @mattsteffanina & @danaalexa_ – two incredible people & so deserving of the win. congratulations also to our friends @sherilabrant & @thesupercole – our mom & little brother on the race, who made us proud every week. what a great adventure to be a part of,” Tyler added.
