Wizards of Waverly Place Latest News, Photos, and Videos

Earlier this year, Selena Gomez and David Henrie set the internet on fire while they were dreaming up just where the Russo kids would be on Wizards of Waverly Place.

Their conversation even sparked the show’s creator to chime in on a possible revival — however, it looks like Selena wouldn’t be totally on board with it right now.

“I didn’t think it was going to be that big of a deal when we were talking about it,” she shared with Zach Sang.

Selena adds, “I understand, I was so proud of that [show]. It was just so funny how it came about. We were having dinner and we were talking about it hypothetically where we would be, but we’re all older. David‘s married now…we’re at such different places in our lives.”

BUT, she could be persuaded…

When asked about if Selena would be game for being an EP (executive producer) for a possible next gen Wizards show, she was definitely on board with that.

“Oh, totally,” Selena says with a smile. “It would be cool. I love my littles. They’re the best.”

David Henrie‘s wedding to Maria Cahill was a true Wizards of Waverly Place reunion!

The actor said “I Do” to Maria on Friday (April 21) in a Southern California ceremony and all of his Wizards cast mates were there.

One fan captured a picture of the cast posing for a picture after the ceremony — and all of them are definitely grown up.

Selena Gomez, Jennifer Stone, Jake T. Austin, David Deluise and Maria Canals Barrera were all by David‘s side for the wedding.

We are loving the longtime friendship between Gregg Sulkin and David Henrie.

The Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars are working on a new AwesomenessTV show together titled Downtown Earl.

They grabbed dinner together this past week to go over some business stuff.

“Great dinner meeting last night with this dude who’s inspired me since walking onto the Wizards set,” Gregg captioned a photo of the two.

David posted the same pic, captioning it, “Always good doing business with friends. @baumeetmercier keepin us on time.”

We can’t wait to see the finished product.

Confession time — JJJ is seriously still in love with the brilliance of Wizards of Waverly Place.

We love everything about it — from Alex’s snarkiness, Justin’s smartness, Max’s weirdness, Harper’s crazy outfits to the magic, the monsters and everything. We just love it.

But up until last night, we didn’t realize how many guest stars, who starred alongside Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone, took a big leap in their careers and are killing it.

Everyone pretty much knows the big guest stars — Shakira, Dwayne Johnson, Jeff Garlin, Gregg Sulkin, Bridgit Mendler — but we totally forgot about these five guest stars that are pretty big in Hollywood right now.

It sounds like a Wizards of Waverly Place reboot isn’t completely out of the realm of possibility.

After former stars Selena Gomez and David Henrie talked about where their characters would be today, creator Todd J. Greenwald is responding with his own ideas.

“Umm @selenagomez @DavidHenrie…. Max sold the SubStation. It’s now a Jamba Juice. #wowp,” he tweeted. “Justin can’t stop dating Centaurs… he can’t quit the freaks. @selenagomez @DavidHenrie”

Todd continued, “I’m thinking a grown-up theatrical version of #wowp would be kinda fresh. #reboot”

The singer and actress reunited with her former Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie tonight, and he helped her create her first post.

In case you didn’t know, David was the one who helped Selena set up her Twitter account almost eight years ago, too!

Possibly in honor of the five-year anniversary of the show’s finale last night, the former Disney co-stars imagined what their Wizards characters would be doing today.

Some highlights: David‘s Justin Russo has 15 kids, Jake T. Austin‘s Max Russo either owns the substation, has lost the substation and is selling sandwiches on the street, OR is overweight and has kids as well.

And Selena‘s Alex Russo? “You know what, she’s killing the game, that’s what she’s doing,” Selena decides.

Even though JJJ was and still is a big fan of Wizards of Waverly Place, we did not know this!

David Henrie shared a fun little tidbit on Instagram today about the show, where he starred as Justin Russo.

“Fun fact about wizards of waverly place guarantee you you don’t know haha. Wanna know where it came from? Man taking it back to 06,” he captioned with the video, letting fans in on a little known secret about the series.

Turns out, Wizards came from another pilot called The Amazing O’Malleys — and Demi Lovato‘s older sister, Dallas, was supposed to star in it, as well as Brandon Mychael Smith!
