Group Chat with Annie and Jayden sees the girls and Hayley LeBlanc, along with fan-favorite stars, talk about the hottest trend topics of the week based on what kids are currently discussing across social media, play games and compete in challenges–all via video chat.

Lidya Jewett is giving us a behind-the-scenes look at her new movie Feel The Beat!

The 13-year-old actress stars as Kari in the new Netflix dance movie.

“I love that she goes after what she wants even if she is nervous. I love that she stands up for herself. I love that she loves to dance in the rain. I love that she loves her friends. I think you will love her too,” she said on Instagram about her character.

Lidya also opened up about how excited she is for others to see so much representation in this production.

“I think it is important, and definitely in times like these, for everyone to see themselves represented on screen…especially the kids,” Lidya told JJJ. “Kids everywhere will see themselves here. Different races, different family types, different body types, differently-abled. They are all here because we are all here.”

Among her co-stars in the BTS photos include Sofia Carson, Wolfgang Novogratz, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Shiloh Nelson, Eva Hague, Sadie Lapidus, and director Elissa Down.

Feel The Beat follows April (Carson) as her Broadway dreams are dashed and she moves back home to a small town in Wisconsin where she takes on a misfit group of young dancers.

The trailer for the movie was just released, where the 27-year-old actress and singer plays the talented, self-centered dancer April, who is banished from Broadway, and grudgingly moves back in with her dad (Enrico Colantoni) in her small Wisconsin hometown.

Trying her best to avoid everyone in her tight-knit community, including her first love Nick (Wolfgang Novogratz), April is reluctantly recruited by her former dance teacher (Donna Lynne Champlin) to coach the town’s misfit group of young dancers.

Initially believing she’s found the path back to Broadway, April gains so much more. A love letter to small towns, Feel The Beat is a heartwarming comedy about chasing your dreams.

Lidya Jewett has a new Netflix movie on the way!

The Good Girls actress has landed a role the upcoming ensemble family dance film Feel the Beat, Deadline reports.

You may also know Lidya from Black Panther, Bunk’d, WITS Academy, and See Dad Run.

Directed by Elissa Down, Feel the Beat also stars DescendantsSofia Carson, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser‘s Wolfgang Novogratz, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Donna Lynne Champlin, Veronica MarsEnrico Colantoni, Eva Hauge, Troupe Zero‘s Johanna Colón, Sadie Lapidus, Tomorrowland‘s Shiloh Nelson, Shaylee Mansfield, Justin Allan, Kai Zen, Carina Battrick, Plus One‘s Brandon Kyle Goodman, Ken Pak, Dennis Andres, and Amy Stewart.

Former So You Think You Can Dance judge Mia Michaels is choreographing.

Feel the Beat follows “April (Carson), who, after failing to find success on Broadway, returns to her small hometown and reluctantly is recruited to train a misfit group of young dancers for a big competition.”

Filming has started in Toronto, Canada.
