Zoey Deutch is always so chic when she hits the red carpet and her look at the 2016 Gotham Independent Film Awards surely did not disappoint!
The 22-year-old actress, who will soon be seen in Why Him?, was among several stars in attendance at the event on Monday night (November 28) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
Zoey was joined at the event by her Everybody Wants Some!! co-star Wyatt Russell to support their film, which was nominated for Best Feature.
Also in attendance were Breakthrough Actor nominees Anya Taylor-Joy (who won the award) and Sasha Lane, as well as Other People‘s Maude Apatow.

The film follows a successful singer-songwriter who hatches a plan to help his friend’s struggling comedy career and broken love life by hiring him as his opening act on his solo tour.

Blake on dating in the 1980s versus today: “Dating back then [in the '80s], you had to do a lot of groundwork. If you wanted to leave a note for someone, you had to go to where they were. Today we’re so connected; it can make you lazy. Still, how someone makes you laugh and how they get to your heart�it’s all the same.”
Tyler on being more present: “Today someone can look at your entire life on Facebook and know everyone in your family, where you go each Saturday, but not come up to you at a coffee shop and say, ‘Hi, how are you?’ [In the '80s] people would dance, talk. We all could learn to be a little more present now.”

The film was written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Richard Linklater and it is being billed as the “spiritual sequel” to his beloved movie Dazed and Confused.
