Count Yael Grobglas as one of the countless many who was completely surprised and shocked to learn that Petra was a twin on Jane The Virgin!

The actress opened up to Coveteur about the reveal and how before that all happened, she thought she was being killed off.

“Anezka was a complete surprise,” Yael says. “I didn’t know she was going to have a twin sister show up. My go-to is I’m always thinking I’m getting killed off. Every show I’m on. [laughs].

“So when I saw an episode where I thought Petra was running away, which is the lead into Anezka showing up, I thought she was running away.”

Now that Anezka is there, Yael is secretly pitching the writers about having her tap dance in an episode.

“I’ve been actually trying to drop secret hints that I can tap-dance since season 2,” Yael dishes. “I’m just waiting for an episode with Anezka breaking out in some Irish tap.”

And yes, Yael can really tap dance: “I started dancing when I was two. I haven’t been doing it seriously since maybe I was 20, so it’s been a while. I mean, I’m not going to go on tour, but for an episode, I’m sure I could get my s*** together.”

Jane The Virgin airs Fridays @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.

Debby Ryan steps out in style for the CBS Television Studios’ Summer Soiree on Tuesday night (August 1) in Studio City, Calif.

The actress was there promoting her upcoming Netflix show, Insatiable, at the annual event, which is produced by CBS studios.

The CW show will be back on this fall, kicking off season 4 on Friday, October 13th.

The Jane The Virgin actress is hopping over to Supergirl as villain Psi for the upcoming season.

Yael was spotted on set yesterday (July 26) in Vancouver with Melissa Benoist to film a few scenes.

Psi is a psychic villain who uses people’s own minds against them.

Her agenda puts her on Supergirl’s radar, and their first meeting will affect the Girl of Steel in surprising ways.

Supergirl will be back on Monday, October 9th on The CW.

Excuse us, Yael Grobglas, but you never told us you were a rapper!

The Jane The Virgin actress continued to wow us by taking part in the #Ham4All challenge, which calls on people to step up their singing and rapping game to help raise funds for a coalition of immigrant coalitions.

Yael pretty much slayed “Guns and Ships”, which we all know is a rapid-fire rap. Seriously, it has the fastest rap verse in the entire musical, and she owned it!

Yael, you better be giving us more covers of this!

If you didn’t know, Yael is actually an immigrant herself. She was born in France to Jewish parents, and later lived in Israel.

Gina Rodriguez and her cast mates got together for a Jane the Virgin panel discussion over the weekend.

Also in attendance were Yael Grobglas, Brett Dier, Andrea Navedo, and Jamie Camil, as well as showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman at the 2017 Vulture Festival at Milk Studios on Saturday (May 20) in New York City.

During the panel, Gina opened up about Brett‘s character’s death on the show.

“It was the worst experience literally to date as an actor in my life,” Gina said (via EW). “It’s almost as though Brett’s beautiful talent and his heart – he helped sacrifice for the bigger journey of Jane. It really is beautiful to see somebody go through this transformation, as we do as human beings, where we go from being kind of naive and so in love with this romance and this idea that nothing bad in life happens if you just play it by the book. One plus one equals two. And that’s not the way life works, and that’s not a bad thing either.”

Rowan Blanchard showed off her support at the ShelterForAll event last night in Los Angeles.

The young actress and activist joined Jane The Virgin‘s Yael Grobglas at the event, which showcased support across the entertainment industry to ACLU, GLAAD, Planned Parenthood and NRDC.

The Jane the Virgin cast is saying farewell to one of their own.

During last night’s episode, Brett Dier‘s character Michael was sadly killed off, and the entire cast took to social media to send their love to Brett.

“I have had such an incredible time on this show,” Brett wrote on Instagram. “It was one of the biggest moments of my life. Playing Michael has been a life changing experience, and I’m so thankful for it. I appreciate all my fans support, and all the beautiful tweets and comments about my characters journey. This cast and crew, writers and directors, I will never forget. You guys are truly incredible people. And I’m so glad I got to meet you, grow with you and have you all in my life. Most giving, generous group I’ve ever encountered. I will love you all forever. Truly…You felt like a part of me, and I always thought it was nuts when actors said that. But I get it. You will always be in my heart. Lots of love everybody. and thank you for this experience Jennie Urman. So grateful.”
