Young & Hungry is back tonight and we can not contain our excitement about it!!!
In the first episode of tonight’s hour-long premiere, “Young & Downton Gabi,” Gabi (Emily Osment) and Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) delight in their new status as an official couple, but Elliot (Rex Lee) and Yolanda (Kym Whitley) are worried about how their work lives will change now that Gabi is the “lady of the house.”
Trying to make things less awkward, Gabi asks Josh to spend more time at her apartment, but Josh is horrified when he learns how messy Gabi is.
In the second episode, “Young & Third Wheel,” Josh decides to set Sofia (Aimee Carrero) up with someone, in hopes she’ll be less of a third wheel in his and Gabi’s relationship. But when Sofia hits it off with Josh’s dentist (played by Tim Rock, Aimee‘s real life husband), Gabi isn’t so sure he’s the right one for her friend.
Meanwhile, Elliot turns to Yolanda for help in reigniting the spark between him and Alan (Brian Safi).

Young & Hungry creator and executive producer David Holden is giving us all the goodies about the planned spinoff movies in a brand new interview.
Just ahead of the final season premiere, the EP opened up about how the series would live on in one, or many, movies to come.
“The notion with the movie is that we tie things up a little bit more,” he shared with TV Insider. “The season definitely leads to a cliffhanger. It would be nice if a movie could satisfy all of our fans.”
He adds, “We’ve already written a draft of the script for them. I think it will be on Freeform. I think it’s a matter of figuring out if and when it’s going to happen. It’s out of my hands. If they don’t pick up the movie, I feel like we should put it online and see that it does happen.”
David continues that one movie would do, or maybe even more.
“I would love to follow all the characters…my hope is to do these Young & Hungry movies for a couple of years and see what happens to them,” he says.
We’re ready when everyone else is!

However, we do love how heartfelt Emily Osment‘s note about the series is.
The actress, who played Gabi Diamond in the show, ehaded to her account after the big news was announced to say goodbye and pay tribute to the groundbreaking series.
“Yesterday, we officially closed the book on 71 episodes of hilarity, pure joy and absolute insanity,” she started. “I’ve never fallen in love with comedy like this before and nothing makes me happier than to know we were able to make so many of you laugh these past five years.”
Emily continues, “I thought working on a television show during my teenage years was hard…no no my friends, your early twenties are terrifying and I’m so very lucky I got to come to work every day and be surrounded by family who got me through it.”
“Thank you David Holden, thank you Young & Hungry, you changed my life.”
