Zoella has officially broke the news — she’s coming out with a lifestyle non-fiction book called “Cordially Invited”!
“It’s a passion project. I’ve never dipped my toe into the world of non-fiction before,” Zoella says in her new video.
The idea for her book came from when her manager came to stay at Zoella‘s place almost two years ago and will focus on all of her party ideas, DIYs and more.
According to the official site, the book is “packed full of ideas, inspiration and DIYs. It will reveal her favourite events – big and small – throughout the year and how to celebrate them in style”.
Zoella has resurfaced on social media after taking a break from the internet over the holiday season.
The British social starlet shared a cute Instagram Story late last night, updating fans on just where’s she been all this time.
“I spent the last few weeks recovering from flu, having Xmas fun times, and more importantly, an internet detox,” she writes. “Which I do every year (I think of it like re-charging my brain battery).”
During her break from the internet, Zoella has been reading new books, binge-watching Big Little Lies, got “addicted to rollercoaster tycoon”, and spent 70% of her time in PJ’s, and “hardly washed my hair and I was completely okay with that.”

The YouTuber had quite the amount of gifts in her mail for the holidays.
Some of the items that Zoe received were clothing, Fujifilm Instax cameras for her and her boyfriend Alfie Deyes, and makeup (obviously), including Kylie Jenner‘s holiday collection.
“All of this stuff goes to my PO Box which is where my management is. So that’s why it’s already opened and sorted through,” she says in the middle of sorting through the items.
Due to the overwhelming amount of products that she receives, Zoe also goes through and donates what she probably wouldn’t keep to charity, women’s shelters, schools, friends, and family.
Earlier this week, Zoella was caught in between two uproars from fans over the pricing of her new lifestyle holiday advent calendar, which led to some digging out old derogatory tweets to use against her.
Now, the British digital creator is explaining herself in her new vlog.
At the end of her newest video, Zoella added a bit to explain to her fans about how the pricing on her products isn’t something that she decides and how sorry she is for the anger some have felt.
“There has been some upset and disappointed people in the lifestyle advent calendar. More specifically, the price of it,” she starts. “I didn’t want to not address it, because I want you guys to know that I do care about how you feel about things and the last thing I want to do is anger, upset or disappoint anyone. That is not my intention.”
Zoella continues, “The calendar is something that I’ve worked on for over a year. I love the product and am all about the creativity. I’m all about getting it from a design to a product and that’s where my input ends. Once that product is done and I’m happy with it, the retailer can decide how much they sell that for. That’s completely out of my decision making.”
“It makes me so sad that this product that I love and worked hard on…and loads of you liked the product…just having that price on it that was out of my decision, has left so many people so upset and I feel just as let down by this.”
Zoella is no stranger to the rumor mill, or angry fans determined in some way to get her attention — and this time, they got her attention.
After gripping on social media about just how much her holiday lifestyle collection was priced at — specifically the advent calendar at $65 — certain “fans” started to dig up really, really old tweets from her, where she had been using language and opinions that she wouldn’t use or voice today.
“I’ve seen a few of my old tweets from 7/8 years ago floating around (which I have now deleted) using words like ‘chav’ ‘skank’ and other words I wouldn’t use now as part of my language and lot of them were taken out of context referring to TV shows,” Zoella apologized this morning on her Twitter.
She adds, “But I would never say those things now and I’m sorry if I have offended anyone, that was not my intention. Obviously that is not who I am today and I’d like to think I’m a little older and wiser! I’m not perfect and I’ve never claimed to be, I’m only human.”

Zoella used her makeup skills for evil (okay, scares) this Halloween by transforming her brother into Pennywise the Clown from It!
“I am going to be turning Joe[Sugg] into none other than Pennywise the Clown,” the lifestyle Youtuber announces. “We’re gonna try to make Joe look scary AF.”
For his part, Joe seems to be on-board: “I’m not scared of clowns,” he admits, “but I love the thought of scaring people as Pennywise the Clown.”
In the 17 minute long video, Zoella puts red contact lenses in Joe‘s eyes, forces him into a bald cap, covers him with white paint, and covers him with insane makeup and a terrifying red wig.
While she stresses that she is not a special effects makeup artist, she actually does a really good job (which, if you’re afraid of clowns, is definitely not a good thing!)
It’s never too early for the holidays, especially if it means new beauty products from Zoella!
The British social media star just launched the Zoella Beauty Snowella Christmas line and decided to give fans an up close look at all the products.
“This is one of my favorite scents and I have been wearing it nonstop,” Zoella explained the in the video.
She added, “It isn’t necessarily Christmas-y, although I did want to capture a very crisp, snowfall scent but I also wanted you to be able to wear this through January, February…and all year round!
