Sherlock Holmes tells the tale of the infamous detective and his stalwart partner Watson as they engage in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of England. The action comedy opens in theaters on Christmas Day.

Ashley, 22, recently caught up with USA Today to dish on her giddyness of booking her first leading role. She shared, “A couple of days before, I probably won’t be able to sleep, but I’m not even nervous about it now. … I’m just like one of those giddy girls who wants to make sure everything is perfect for the first day of school. I’ve already planned a week (before filming begins in Berlin) to turn off my cellphone and just focus.”
