OlderAly Michalka: Sizzles For 'Gangster Squad' Audition
Aly Michalka dresses for the part as she arrives at an audition in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (May 19).
Like Ashley Greene, the 22-year-old actress was also going out for a role in The Gangster Squad.
The flick, which Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn are rumored to be part of the cast, is a chronicle of the LAPD’s fight to keep East Coast Mafia types out of Los Angeles in the 1940s and 50s.
Aly also took to Twitter to address the recent cancellation of Hellcats. She shared, “My dear fans… I just want to tell you all how grateful I am for all your comments regarding Hellcats being cancelled. I had such an incredible experience that was life changing. The friendships,memories,and adventures will never be forgotten.”

These young women should start taking professional advice and act their ages.
In Ashleys case it looks like it’s her mother that runs her career and I guess doesn’t realize that we don’t have too many 25+ year old cheerleaders that look like her.
Aly’s a little younger but still what’s with the kid roles. Your women.
Hopefully she gets the role, shes a promising actress.
Aly should get this part. She is a good actress not to mention she is also gorgeous.
I would not knock Aly’s mom if she is in fact her manager because if so she is doing a good job. Both Aly and AJ are class acts and I’m sure mom’s involvement in their careers is part of that. Love these girls and how they care for one another.
and by the way @ craig stairs the fact that these girls look young and can play younger women in movies and TV is to their advantage since good roles get to be scarse in Hollywood for women at a way younger age than men.

@cam: You are 100% correct. Aly and AJ are class acts and terrific role models for the youth of today. They are both gorgeous. I really do hope that she gets this part. Her career seems to be doing really well. She seems to be smart at picking roles to audition for. Hellcats being cancelled could be a good thing for her in the long run. Maybe Ashley could learn a thing or 2 from her?
@Sally: I agree. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. Two totally different looking women, both beautiful.
I hope Aly gets this part too. She has a perfect 40′s siren/bombshell look about her. And she is a decent actress. I could see her in a movie like this far more than Ashley Greene.
She is more curvier, has breast and finer legs than v-hudge. And she can pull off a darker look better than v can ever a blonde look.
