Aly Michalka will be trading in her pom pons for an electric guitar.

The 22-year-old actress is heading over to CSI:NY for a guest spot in the new season.

Aly will play Miranda, a hard rocker who “explodes onto the stage of New York’s hottest underground clubs,” EW reports. Her character is questioned by the CSI team when the guy she’s been dating is found murdered.

Her episode will air on September 30th.
