Saoirse Ronan wears bright blue shoes as she attends a book launch held at a pub in Dublin, Ireland on Sunday afternoon (December 11).

The 17-year-old actress will be starting production on Byzantium, opposite Gemma Arterton soon.

According to internet reports, Saoirse actually learned to play a complicated Beethoven‘s piano Sonata Opus 2, No 3 in just 12 weeks!

Never playing the instrument before, she rented a baby grand piano and began lessons, putting in two hours a day of practice, stunning director Neil Jordan.

Byzantium, which starts production this month, is the story of a deadly pairing of a mother vampire (Arterton) who turns her daughter (Ronan).
