Monique Coleman Marches on March 8th

Monique Coleman keeps warm in a winter coat while participating in the March On March 8th event at United Nations on Friday afternoon (March 8) in New York City.

The actress and philanthropist joined Lakshmi Puri, Deputy Ex. Director of UN Women, Ban Soon-Taek (patron of UN Women for Peace), and actresses Susan Sarandon, Alexandra Richards, and Kelly Rutherford for the historic event which generated greater awareness for prevention of violence against women.

“Every women and girl has the right to live free from violence and threats. It may seem impossible to end all attacks on women and girls but when I look at you I know it is possible. This is a movement whose time has come,” Mrs. Ban Soon-taek shared at the rally.
