Ian Somerhalder picks up a few hair grooming supplies at Ricky’s on Thursday afternoon (May 16) in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City.

The 34-year-old Vampire Diaries star chatted on his cell phone as he browsed the aisles with a guy pal.

“Fast food freaks me out,” Ian recently told Us Weekly.

Earlier in the day, Ian walked the red carpet at the 2013 CW Upfront Presentation held at The London Hotel with his co-star Nina Dobrev.
