CW President Weighs in on 'The Vampire Diaries' Move to Friday
If you’re anything like us here at JJJ, you probably got a little worried when it was announced that The Vampire Diaries was moving to Fridays.
The CW show – starring Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and Candice King – will now air on Friday evenings instead of the prime spot on Thursdays.
Typically, shows are sent to Fridays and then eventually cancelled. However, there have been exceptions (hello Supernatural!). So we have hope!
“The move is not to exile [the shows],” CW president Mark Pedowitz told TVLine.com. “It’s a move to strengthen Friday night.”
In case you missed it, executive producer Julie Plec recently opened up about when she thinks the show should end.
