Ed Sheeran Reaches Settlement With Songwriters Who Claim He Copied Them
Ed Sheeran has reached a settlement in a lawsuit with two songwriters who say his song “Photograph” copied their work.
The songwriters were originally seeking $20 million in damages in the copyright infringement lawsuit, which claimed that Ed‘s hit copied their song “Amazing” “verbatim, note-for-note.”
According to THR, the case was dismissed with prejudice but noted that a California federal court would be able to enforce the terms of an agreement.
The exact terms of the settlement were not released.
