Caleb Johnson rocks out for the crowd while singing for the last time on American Idol during the finale on Tuesday (May 20) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old finalist sang three songs during the show – Aerosmith‘s “Dream On,” Paul McCartney‘s “Maybe I’m Amazed,” and an original song called “As Long As You Love Me.”
“Some of the nicest , extremely hilarious and most kindhearted people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting ! Not to mention they put on one hell of a badass show ! Tune in to American Idol Wednesday night to see KISS and I tear the roof off the Nokia Theater!!” Caleb wrote on his Instagram along with a photo of himself with the legendary band.

The final two contestants have been revealed for this season of American Idol and we are now ready for the finals!
The contestants each had to sing three songs during this week’s semi-finals round and it was stiff competition for the Idol hopefuls as everyone did great.
The final three this year are 23-year-old Caleb Johnson, 17-year-old Jena Irene, and 21-year-old Alex Preston.
During the results show, host Ryan Seacrest revealed that during next week’s finale, Caleb will get to sing with the band KISS, Jena will sing with the band Paramore, and Alex will sing with Jason Mraz.

Caleb Johnson rocks out to some songs while performing during the final three round of American Idol on Wednesday evening (May 14) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The 23-year-old singer was battling laryngitis and a doctor appeared on stage to say that he was not allowed to speak other than when he was performing.
The three songs that Caleb performed on the show that night were Led Zeppelin‘s “Dazed and Confused,” Imagine Dragons‘ “Demons,” and Inxs‘ “Never Tear Us Apart.”

Caleb Johnson waves to the enormous crowd as he arrives back in Asheville, North Carolina over the weekend, as part of American Idol‘s Home Town Visits.
The 23-year-old American Idol finalist spoke to Citizen Times about the parade thrown in his honor.
“That was epic. That was so epic. … I was like calling people out by name and stuff as I saw them. It was so overwhelming but it was so amazing. I mean, I was on Cloud Nine. … I was seeing people that I haven’t seen in five, six months or even a year, some people that had went away and just came back just to see me. And I’m like, wow, that is so humbling,” he shared.
Caleb continued, “I literally almost got emotional, and then I was like, man I can’t do that…It was nuts. It was absolutely incredible…I can’t even describe what was going through my head in those minutes going down that street. I mean felt like I was president of the United States or something. It was so awesome I will never, ever forget this day, ever.”

The American Idol Top 5 have been decided!
C.J. Harris was voted off during last night’s (April 24) show, leaving Jena Irene, Alex Preston, Caleb Johnson, Sam Woolf and Jessica Meuse vying for the season 13 title.
Next week, the final five will take on two songs again — but America will be choosing them. Details coming soon!
Jason Mraz will also be mentoring next week — can’t wait to see!

Sam Woolf and Alex Preston hit the carpet while attending the American Idol Season 13 Finalists Party held at Fig & Olive Melrose Place on Thursday evening (February 20) in Los Angeles.
The guys were joined at the event by fellow top boys CJ Harris, Ben Briley, Dexter Roberts, and Caleb Johnson.
“Thank you guys so much for giving me a spot in the top 13!” Sam tweeted after the show. “Had my first red carpet experience today. It was awesome!”
