David Archuleta puts his head in his hands as he grieves the loss of a close friend in his new video for “Wait.”

The track is featured on the 21-year-old musician’s Asian Tour Edition of his newest album, The Other Side of Down.

David just wrapped up his My Kind of Christmas tour and tweeted of a bit of a trouble getting back home for the holidays.

“Stuck in the mountains on the bus because of a snowstorm. Missed my flight, so I guess a new adventure will begin haha. On a side note, the band and some crew who took a shuttle might still make their flights. Some awesome mountains around here too,” he posted.

David Archuleta made a huge announcement last night during his concert in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The 20-year-old singer shared with the packed crowd that he’s putting his music career on hold for a mission!

“I would like to make a special announcement: that I’ve chosen to serve a full-time mission,” David shared. “It’s not because somebody told me that I was supposed to do it, not because that I no longer want to do music anymore, but it’s because it’s the feeling that I felt that I need to do next in my life.”

He added, “It’s just the same feeling that I’ve always followed, tried to follow in my life. It’s the feeling that has allowed me to have the opportunities that I’ve had, the challenges that I’ve overcome and the blessings, too. And I’ve learned to trust that feeling, and I’ve learned that I need to answer when it calls. And that is the reason why I know I need to do this in my life.”

David will serve on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for two years and can be sent anywhere in the world.

The 20-year-old musician is wrapping up his My Kind of Christmas tour and recently stopped by the Forbes offices in New York City for a surprise visit.

“I feel like there’s something special about Christmas music,” David shared. “You’re able to put your heart into it a different way than with other, just pop, stuff.”

David Archuleta dished to USA Today recently about his upcoming Christmas tour and what’s coming up next for him musically.

“I love Christmas music more than anything else,” the 20-year-old musician said, “That’s why I’m doing the Christmas tour again.”

David also explained how he chose his tour name, “My Kind of Christmas.”

“It was just spur of the moment, but I ended up really liking how it turned out, explaining what Christmas means to me,” he says. “What is my kind of Christmas? That’s what we describe. It’ll be exciting to share an original Christmas song with the fans.”

David‘s 13-date tour will head to Pennsylvania, Idaho, Utah and California before wrapping up Dec. 21 in Colorado.

David Archuleta takes the stage to perform a song or two during the 2011 “Make A Difference” benefit concert held at the Ronald McDonald House on Tuesday night (November 8) in New York City.

The 20-year-old musician joined former American Idol alums Constantine Maroulis and David Cook for the event, which honored Calvin Klein, Inc. President & CEO Tom Murry.

The event raised over $325,000. The funds raised support for the organization’s mission of providing temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families while the child is undergoing active treatment at one or more of 13 partnering hospitals throughout New York City.

David tweeted, “Had a really great night tonight at Ronald McDonald House! Good hearing Cook again as well as Constantine Maroulis. Awesome performers.”

David Archuleta lets his fans know what he’s up to in this new video blog uploaded on Thursday (October 27).

One of the exciting new projects the 20-year-old singer is working on is a music video shoot in Hong Kong!

“I’ve spent time in the Hong Kong airport but not in Hong Kong itself so fun times!” David said.

David also added, “It’s also been awhile since I shot a music video.”

David has been doing some heavy traveling lately. He’s recently visited Florida and Las Vegas and will be heading to Hong Kong and Singapore in the upcoming month.
