Elle recently chatted with The Daily Beast about her unique fashion sense: “I had a big dress-up bin and would always pull out clothes. I had this tube scarf when I was little and I’d wear it as a dress, sliding my body in the middle of it.”

She added, “I would cut clothes up and ruin shirts and just experiment all the time. I used to hate jeans and never wear them, but I’m really into baggy jeans now. They can’t be skinny jeans—I would never wear skinny jeans—only baggy mom-jeans. I’m also into this Ralph Lauren western-cowboy look right now. I got this really cool cowboy hat in South Africa, and I want to get a big belt with a cowboy on the buckle.”

The 14-year-old actress recently chatted with the Daily Beast about her wanting to go to college, like sister Dakota.

“My sister has inspired me to go to college,” Elle shared. “I don’t know where I want to go, but now that I’m a high-school freshman you hear about the juniors and seniors talking about where they’ve gotten in and wearing their school sweatshirts. I want to have a school sweatshirt that I wear!”

Elle Fanning checks her phone while she heads to lunch with some friends on Wednesday afternoon (March 20) in Los Angeles.

The 14-year-old actress recently opened up about working alongside Angelina Jolie in the upcoming film Maleficent.

“We definitely got super close while filming,” she told the LA Times. “She’s the coolest person, she’s so motherly. We had a lot of fun together, and she’s gorgeous.”

A few days earlier, Elle was spotted at LAX Airport after returning from South Africa where she was filming Young Ones.

In a recent interview with Elle mag, Elle opened up about the makeup tip she stole from the set of Ginger & Rosa.

“I was so excited for the [shoot] days when I got to put on the 60’s eyeliner. The film’s make-up artist said back then everyone was completely natural — they didn’t wear make-up — they’d only put on the line. That stuck with me,” she shared.

Elle added, “When I went to the Critic’s Choice Awards [in January], I wore this hot pink 60’s eye. I don’t wear any make-up on normal days and at school. But, if I’m going somewhere, I always do something with my eyes —crazy colors, sparkles. I’m all for it. I love experimenting.”
