With the holiday movie just a week away, star Bridgit Mendler chatted with JJJ in a round table interview about her song that’s featured in the flick — “I’m Gonna Run To You.”
“I wrote the song ‘I’m Gonna Run To You’ with Jamie Houston and we had a great time. We wrote a couple of different songs — experimenting with more holiday-themed and movie-themed songs. We went with this one which is trying to get to someone that you’re not with and to reunite with them,” she shared.
Bridgit added, “I think that it’s nice because you can really play it all year round. It’s not exclusive to the holidays, you can play it in April if you want to. I’m hoping that everyone enjoys it. It has a swing-y style, reminiscent of those old holiday songs.
You can get the track on iTunes NOW and make sure to tune into Disney Channel on Friday, December 2nd @ 8PM ET/PT.

Jason Dolley shows off his super-burnt chest in this new still from Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas.
Costar Bradley Steven Perry told JJJ of the things the cast did off-set when not filming in Salt Lake City, Utah earlier this year — Paintball!
“I never would have thought this until I tried it, but paintball really hurts!” Bradley dished. “Eric [Allan Kramer, who plays Bob] actually got a welt on his neck and we had to film the next day. It’s just really fun and Jason, who has done this before, has his own guns and things. He’s like a ninja with his paintball gun.”
He continued, “We were doing one cave and they have these balloons that you can hide behind for protection. Jason, leaps over one and in mid-air is shooting a guy on the other team and he’s rolling on the floor. Then he shoots me in the foot and Eric in the neck. When you’re shooting at Jason, he’s so skinny, it’s like shooting air.”
JJJ secret from the set: Jason will be mostly shirtless throughout the majority of the film!

Bridgit Mendler and Leigh-Allyn Baker find the downsides on a bicycle built for two in this new still from Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas.
“In this movie, Teddy is taking a bit more responsibility. She kind of gets into a tricky situation where they [her and her mom] get off their flight [to Palm Springs] and realize there’s no other flight to get onto. There, they have to try and figure out a way to get to Palm Springs for Christmas,” Bridgit tells JJJ of Teddy’s role in the upcoming DCOM.
She continues, “Teddy has to be super responsible and find a way to get there and her mom is having a rough time so Teddy has to take on the full responsibility of that situation.”
Picking up on a Home Alone vibe, we had to know if Bridgit ever caught herself rushing to a flight. “Every flight is like that! (laughs) My parents aren’t the most punctual…mainly my mom. She’s so not going to appreciate me saying that but you know…we have definitely done a lot of sprints through the airport in our time.”
