There’s an old adage that says never to break a good thing up — which is why we’re so excited that Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller are teaming back up for another movie!
The two actors, who have starring in Divergent, Insurgent, Allegiant and Spectacular Now together, are reuniting for a new flick.
The project is called Adrift and is based on a true story of “a woman who sets off on a sailing trip to Tahiti with her fiance. But after a massive storm, the woman finds herself alone at sea with her boat in ruins.”
According to THR, the story, which toggles between the couple’s past courtship and the perilous present, follows her attempts to save herself and the man she loves on a 1,500-mile journey to Hawaii.

It was recently announced that Miles will voice the lead character, Gilbert, in the upcoming animated film The Ark and the Aardvark, Deadline reports.
The movie is based on the story of Noah’s Ark, only told from the animals’ perspective!
The Ark and the Aardvark, set for a 2017 release date, will be directed by Kung Fu Panda‘s John Stevenson.
“Gilbert is young, spirited, sarcastic, and we couldn’t have found a more perfect artist to bring Gilbert to life in Miles,” John said.

It’s safe to say that we all were shocked about the news that Divergent‘s final film, Ascendant, wouldn’t be hitting theaters as planned, the cast was even more shocked.
“It caught us all by surprise,” Miles Teller shared with THR. “At this point, it’s a different set of circumstances. We’ll see. I honestly haven’t talked to anybody,” he added about returning for the project where he plays Peter.
“Things do change anytime they’re messing with something that was not the original intention,” he continued. “We all signed on for it in hopes that it’d be released in theaters, and we all had every intention of finishing [the franchise].”
The plan, which was discussed with Variety, is to wrap up the series as a TV movie, which would then transition into a TV series.
“We got excited about the possibility of what the series could look like – resolving the novel in a season across 10 to 13 episodes and then expanding from there into multiple seasons,” Lionsgate TV Group Chair Kevin Beggs said.

The 29-year-old actor recently revealed his dad played a part in Miles landing his War Dogs role in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“My dad emailed me immediately, saying, ‘You’ve got to get in this movie,’” Miles said about his dad catching wind of the project. “It ended up working out! Stories like this don’t come around so often for guys in their early to mid-20s who are involved in a world with these kind of stakes.”
