Katie Leclerc gets an enthusiastic hug from Meredith Baxter in this new still from Switched at Birth.

In this week’s episode “Las Dos Fridas,” Kathryn’s (Lea Thompson) mother Bonnie (Baxter) comes for a visit which makes Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne (Leclerc) question their new roles in the family and where they fit in. While Bonnie can’t get over the physical resemblance between Daphne and Kathryn, Daphne still sees herself as a girl from her old neighborhood and struggles with her new identity.

Meanwhile, Bay and Regina (Constance Marie) grow closer as they try to find out what happened to Angelo (Gilles Marini) and their shared love of art and Toby’s (Lucas Grabeel) new girlfriend Simone (Maiara Walsh) tries to change him, which Bay warns him about.

Katie Leclerc and Vanessa Marano share a laugh as they speak on stage during Disney/ABC Television Group’s portion of the 2012 Winter TCA Tour held at The Langham Huntington Hotel on Monday morning (January 9) in Pasadena, Calif.

The on-screen “sisters” were joined by cast mates Sean Berdy, Lucas Grabeel, Constance Marie, Lea Thompson and D.W. Moffatt.

Vanessa admitted during the panel that Lucas picked up ASL quicker than anyone else.

“Katie actually taught me when we first started. I went to her, and she taught me five signs every day. So because I really fell in love with the language immediately and just wanted to learn as much as I could” Lucas added.

But Vanessa isn’t bad herself either, according to Sean. “When we sign, I can completely understand her,” he signed.

FYI: Katie is wearing a dress by Ted Baker with Steve Madden shoes. Vanessa is in an AllSaints dress and YSL heels.

Erica Dasher and Nick Roux blow some faux snow on the set of ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas.

The two stars joined casts of The Lying Game and Switched at Birth and dished on their favorite holiday memories, movies and more.

While Erica shared that the best gift she was ever given was her sister, Katie shared her favorite holiday movie — which is one of ours, too!

“My favorite holiday movie is A Year Without Santa Claus ,” Katie said. “My favorite scene is with Snow Miser and he’s singing and dancing and doing his thing…he’s got icicles, his hair is made out of ice and it’s really funny. I sort of wish I had see-through hair.”

Vanessa Marano shows off her ASL skills to Marlee Matlin in this new still from Switched at Birth.

In the upcoming episode “The Tempest,” Bay (Marano) tries to impress Melody (Matlin) with her ASL (American Sign Language) knowledge, trying to earn some points as Emmett’s (Berdy) girlfriend – to no avail.

Daphne (Katie Leclerc) tries to fit in with her new friend Simone (Maiara Walsh), who happens to be an old friend of Bay’s, and Wilke (Austin Butler) and Toby (Lucas Grabeel) try to earn some extra money by making fake ID’s.

Austin Butler gives Katie Leclerc a little push into the lake in this new still from Switched at Birth.

In the upcoming episode “Starry Night,” tensions are high between Daphne (Leclerc) and Bay (Vanessa Marano) as they clash over Emmett (Sean Berdy).

Upset over her father’s return, Daphne heads to the music festival where Toby (Lucas Grabeel), Wilke (Butler) and Emmett are performing, to try and get some alone time with Emmett, much to his surprise.

Bay insists on seeing Angelo (Gilles Marini) again, so John (D.W. Moffett) asks Regina (Constance Marie) to chaperone their meeting, causing them all to think about what life would have been like.
