“I’m super excited,” the 27-year-old actress told EOnline. “It’s going to be amazing.”
Jena added, “I read the whole series over a weekend when I had a wisdom tooth out. I was in bed looking for something to read and my little sister recommended it like a year and a half ago, so she was like, ‘You have to read it! You have to read it!’ And so I’m glad I finally did and I loved it.”
The DVD and Bluray also come with other features including “Preparing for the Games: A Director’s Process,” which looks at the progression of taking three key scenes from the book to the screen.
The Hunger Games drops on August 18th on Bluray, DVD and Digital Download.

The 2-disc Blu-ray and DVD are loaded with over three hours of extensive bonus materials including the comprehensive eight-part documentary, “The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games.”
Other special features include a sit-down conversation with director Gary Ross as well as numerous featurettes that examine the global success of the books, the creation of the control room in the film and the filmmakers’ motivation behind creating new scenes that were not in the book plus much more.

The 21-year-old actress’ new film, The Hunger Games, brought in a lot of money during midnight screenings on Thursday night/Friday morning.
According to THR, the flick opened in more than 2,500 theaters, and scored the best midnight gross ever for a nonsequel and the seventh-best midnight gross overall. The all-time record, however, still belongs to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
