When news broke that Ariana Grande and Jessie J may remake the Brandy and Monica classic of 1998, “That Boy Was Mine,” the Internet seemed to go crazy!

Opinions vastly differed and many were not happy with the choice to remake the song – but Jessie J just cleared up some rumors that it is actually not happening!

“It’s not true – neither of us have agreed,” Jessie J told The Mirror at the AMAs. “Sadly, people are believing it. I spoke to Brandy and I was like, ‘no it’s not happening’. Monica and Brandy are the best.”
