Dakota Fanning To Star; Kirsten Dunst To Direct 'The Bell Jar'

Dakota Fanning is set to star in The Bell Jar movie adaption, Deadline reports.

The 21-year-old actress will star as Esther Greenwood in the flick, which will be directed by Kirsten Dunst.

If you don’t know, “The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath made a big impact in the 1960s after it was published.

The book is set in the 1950s and follows Esther, who takes an internship at a magazine in New York City and, after she returns home to Boston, begins to suffer from mental illness.
