JoJo stops to pose while arriving at the The Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show at Z100 Studio on Monday (August 1) in New York City.
The 25-year-old singer opened up about covering Shawn Mendes‘ song “Treat You Better.”
“I love Shawn, what a babe! He tweeted me and said that he was on YouTube one day and fell down a black hole watching a bunch of my performances, and then he said something so sweet! He said, ‘If I could just be the male version of JoJo, I would be happy!’ I just thought that was the sweetest thing! I was so tickled, so that was my thank you to Shawn! I hope I did it justice,” she said.
