OlderHigh School Student Beats Record for Most Retweets Ever with Wendy's Nuggets Tweet!
Carter Wilkerson is still in high school, but he is already in the Guinness Book of World Records thanks to his love for chicken nuggets!
The 16-year-old high school junior has been on a mission to get 18 million retweets on a tweet he wrote in order to get free nuggets from Wendy’s for a year.
When Ellen DeGeneres caught wind of his campaign, she brought Carter onto her show and tasked him with having people retweet her Oscars selfie tweet along with his nuggets tweet, so that she could retain her status of having the most retweeted tweet.
Well, now Carter has topped Ellen‘s tweet with over 3.45 million retweets!
Wendy’s has announced that Carter will get free chicken nuggets for a year even though he didn’t reach the 18 million mark. The company is also donating $100,000 to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in honor of the milestone.
