'Girl Meets World', 'School of Rock' & 'Hairspray Live' Pick Up Emmy Nominations!

The 2017 Emmy nominations were just announced — and feature a slew of big names!

While reading through the huge list of nominatins (seriously, there are a lot!), we found a few that you’ll definitely be excited about.

First up — Elena and the Secret of Avalor!

The animated series picked up a nomination for the movie crossover event with Sofia The First on Disney Channel. The program is up for Outstanding Animated Program.


Girl Meets World and School of Rock both picked up Emmy noms too for Outstanding Children’s Program.

“Grateful to be nominated for our 3rd Emmy in 3 years. We thank the Academy and as always our remarkably loyal audience, cast and crew,” creator Michael Jacobs wrote on the GMW official Twitter account.

K.C. Undercover also picked up a new Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography For A Multi-Camera Series.

The episode nominated is “The Legend Of Bad, Bad Cleo Brown”.

The Emmy celebration will be air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 17), with the Creative Arts Emmys airing the weekend before, on September 9th and 10th.
