Teala Dunn Addresses 'Drama' About Her Race & Hair

Teala Dunn is speaking on the awful tweets that she has been receiving.

The actress and YouTuber has been getting comments after some photos she posted on Snapchat.

“Basically, I don’t know if you guys saw the rude and disgusting tweets that I guess went ‘viral,’ but not really viral… making fun of my hair…” she said in her video. “It was a selfie I took on my snapchat and just being silly in my room as you do. As a young, thriving African American girl would do in her room, just taking some snapchats. I started getting a ton of hateful tweets about how I hate my race, I hate being African American, I need black friends, and I’m just not comfortable with who I am.”

“I’m a very confident person. Obviously I have days where I’m insecure…” Teala continued. “To read comments, false statements, really did tick me off. And I just wanted to come on here and tell you guys… One, I love the skin that I am in, I love my parents, I love the fact that I am African American and thriving. I love the fact that I am an African American YouTuber and I have a huge audience and a huge reach that isn’t just African Americans. And I love the fact that I can inspire young girls, and guys, and gays, and straight, and transgender, and people in general, to just love who they are and be positive.”

Watch her video below and skip to the 9:50 mark where addresses the commments…
