We really hope that we don’t have to say goodbye to Jane the Virgin, but that might happen next year, according to Gina Rodriguez.
The Golden Globe-winning star of The CW’s hit series has hinted that the show will conclude with the upcoming fifth season.
Gina spoke out during the Women to Watch panel from Create & Cultivate and Fossil this weekend in Texas, where she opened up about getting to direct a season four episode.
“When it came to directing Jane, as the star of the show — as a woman, as Latina, I was like, ‘I need to come so correct that I cannot be denied,'” Gina said (via Variety).
Gina also added that she plans to “do more [directing] next year — in our final season.”
The CW has not yet confirmed if the fifth season is the end.
