How Will Barry & Iris Handle Future Daughter Nora Showing Up on 'The Flash'? Find Out!

It’s only been a few days since the season finale of The Flash, where we found out exactly who Mystery Girl was, and we’re getting the first glimpse of what will happen next.

Speaking with EW, EP Todd Helbing reveals that it’s not going to be all hugs when season 5 debuts.

“If you can imagine having one of your children showing up who’s already an adult, who’s around the same age as you, it’s gonna be a little weird for them,” he says.

Todd adds, “But there’s this huge emotional component of this finale — Iris makes a comment about how they’re next to have a kid, and then their kid shows up a little sooner than I think either of them were expecting and under quite a bit different circumstances. So it’s going to take a while for them both to get used to her being around.”

But getting to know Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) isn’t the only thing Barry and Iris have to worry about.

“On top of it, there’s the complications of all the consequences that are going to come from her going back 30 years,” he adds, noting that going back might be a little trickier than anyone realizes.

The Flash will return for season 5 later this fall.
