Alexis Ren poses back to back with pro partner Alan Bersten at the attends Dancing With The Stars Season 27 Cast Reveal Red Carpet event held at Planet Hollywood Times Square on Wednesday morning (September 12) in New York City.

The 21-year-old model/influencer and Alan, 24, opened up in a video interview about their first meeting and how her previous dance experience doesn’t really help her.

“I was a ballet dancer for 10 years,” Alexis admits in the sound bite, however, having that experience hasn’t actually helped her so far. “You think it would be something that would help, but, ballroom and the other dances are so different, with a different technique.”

Alexis adds that she’s actually having to “unlearn a lot of things.”

Alan and Alexis also discussed their first meeting where he “galloped” in on her photo shoot. “I was very excited,” he said.

Dancing With The Stars premieres on Monday, September 24th on ABC.
