Shay Mitchell got really into her new role as Megan in The Possession of Hannah Grace – so much in fact that she found she was personally depressed like her character.
“This character was definitely hard to shake,” the actress revealed to Standard Online in a recent interview about the flick.
Shay shared that “not only did she [Megan] deal with anxiety and depression but I found myself feeling the same while shooting this movie because I was stressed out.”
“I started to become similar to Megan in the same way she was going down a dark hole,” she added. “I found myself doing something similar and, at the end, I couldn’t really tell if Megan was turning into me or I was turning into Megan.”
The Possession of Hannah Grace is in select theaters now.
