Gigi Hadid Opens Up About Her Criticized Runway Walk

Gigi Hadid understands why people can be critical of her runway walk.

The 23-year-old model looked comfy and casual while leaving her apartment on Wednesday morning (February 6) in New York City.

That same day, Gigi‘s very first Elle US cover was revealed and she opened up to the mag about learning to walk the runway.

“I was so nervous I couldn’t breathe. I was like, ‘Really, you want me to open?’ I’d never gone to a runway class,” Gigi said of being cast in a Jeremy Scott show in 2014.

She continued, “Over the years, I’ve learned how to guide myself through it — how to stuff my shoes. A lot of people judged that I was a bad runway walker because they were literally watching me learn.”
