'Roswell, New Mexico' Showrunner Calls Tonight's Episode One Of The Most Important Ones of the Season

The ep, called “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, is a series of flashbacks to 2008, where secrets are uncovered about Rosa’s final day, Isobel’s (Lily Cowles) mysterious blackouts and Alex (Tyler Blackburn) and Michael’s (Michael Vlamis) relationship in high school.

“In just 42 minutes, we had to meet our characters as innocent kids, understand the beginnings of both their personal tragedies and their love stories, and then tear that all down,” EP Carina Adly Mackenzie shared on Instagram about the ep.

She adds, “We had to give the audience answers while leaving our characters with troubling questions. And, of course, we had to get everyone dressed up for prom!”
