Marsai Martin Is Named Innovator of the Year!

Marsai Martin is getting the recognition she deserves!

The 14-year-old Black-ish star is being honored during the fourth edition of Culture Creators’ annual “Innovators and Leaders” Awards Brunch, which will take place on Saturday, June 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The “Innovators and Leaders” Awards recognize minorities in film, television, music and fashion and Marsai has earned the group’s Innovator of the Year award, Variety reports.

Earlier this year, Marsai signed a first-look deal with Universal Pictures and she even has her own production company, Genius Productions, which is currently working on the comedy StepMonster, which Marsai will star in, playing a teen adjusting to life with a new stepmom.

Marsai stepped out on Sunday (June 9) for the Confidential Magazine Impact Awards at The Line Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
