Drew Seeley & Wife Amy Paffrath Welcome First Child - Learn Her Name!

Congrats are in order for Drew Seeley and Amy Paffrath – they’re parents!

The former High School Musical singer and actor and Amy, a journalist and actress, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ember Florence, on Saturday, July 20th, which was just two days before Amy’s birthday!

Drew and Amy announced they were expecting a baby earlier this year.

“Welcome to this big beautiful world, Ember Florence Seeley ♥️ 7/20/19 Mama and poppa love you more than words can express. #parents #dadlife My wife is a rockstar,” Drew wrote on his Instagram.

This weekend – am I right?! 😳 What a whirlwind. My birthday weekend is usually full of excitement but this one definitely takes the cake! We went in for yet another prenatal appointment on Friday at what my doc and were calling 41.5 weeks gestation. My "due date" was moved to July 8th early in pregnancy but I fought it for some reason, trying to maintain control of something that was so obviously not in my power. He originally suggested we induce on Monday, today, my birthday. I didn't wanna do that for many reasons, I'll go into more detail later, but when my fluid looked low Friday Doc decided l should go in that night. That was a curve ball I wasn't expecting but I'm happy to say things went very smoothly and I had a very empowered birth. I can't thank the amazing labor and delivery team at @cedarssinai, the incredible @modernladoula, & my wonderful husband @drewseeley enough for supporting my wishes and helping me bring Miss Ember Florence Seeley into the world on July 20th at 1:49pm as gracefully and gently as possible. It was an unforgettable weekend and I'm tired as a mother. Mama's, I salute you with a brand new respect for enduring th miracle of life. Childbirth is a wild ride. We will share a pic of our sweet baby soon. Keeping her all to ourselves for a little while longer.
