Shawn Mendes is apologizing to his fans after a fan Q&A session left him in hot water.
A clip from his Tampa concert Q&A was released online, showing a fan asking him what inspired him to write “Senorita”, his duet with Camila Cabello. He in turn, didn’t actually answer the question. Instead, he replied, “I love you guys have a great time!”
In a since deleted tweet, Shawn offered an apology and an explanation to his fans on why he didn’t answer.
“Hey! There was no bad intention here,” he wrote. “If you were there, you would have known it was the last question & that’s why I decided to turn it into a lighthearted funny goodbye! Sorry if that upset anyone, I adore you guys! No need for any negativity â¤ï¸.”
He added this moments later:
