Shawn Mendes On Camila Cabello: 'You Have to Fight For Someone You Love'

Shawn Mendes is dishing on his long time coming relationship with Camila Cabello.

The 21-year-old singer was asked during a recent pre-show Q&A if he ever loved someone who didn’t love him back.

“If I told you the whole story of Camila, it would take a long time,” Shawn responded. “I would say that you have to fight for someone you really love. And if you really truly love them, then you’ll get them, it just takes time.”

“But make sure you really love him or her. You just have to make sure,” he added.

Shawn and Camila first met when he served as an opening act for Fifth Harmony on tour back in 2014, and just recently started dating over the summer.
