Is Hailee Steinfeld's New Song About Niall Horan?

Hailee Steinfeld released her new song “Wrong Direction” this week and fans have been speculating that the song is about her ex-boyfriend Niall Horan.

The title “Wrong Direction” could refer to Niall‘s former band One Direction. In the song, Hailee seemingly implies that someone cheated on her.

“Lookin’ back, I probably should have known, but I just wanted to believe that you were out sleepin’ alone,” she sings.

Hailee also sings about an ex’s ego. Here are some more lyrics: “On my tiptoes, but I still couldn’t reach your ego. Guess I was crazy to give you my body, my mind. Don’t know what I was thinkin’ till now. Everyone thinks that you’re somebody else, You even convinced yourself.”
